Bikes for Kids
Bikes for Kids is a separate 501(c)3 charity providing refurbished bikes for children who need or wish for one in central Texas. Our belief is that re-using is far better than recycling, and we want every child to have the health, freedom, fun and transportation benefits of cycling.
Summer Smith, a 10-year-old in Cambria, CA, is riding, safely and enjoyably with her family these days, thanks to her new mode of transportation provided in part by the Jack’s Helping Hand nonprofit , LoneStar eBikes, and Bikes For Kids Nonprofit.
LoneStar eBikes assembled and shipped the Yuba SuperMarche cargo Bike to the Smith family so that Summer could safely ride with her family on their regular bike excursions.
Bikes for Kids needs your help
Last year the "Bikes for Kids" program provided 39 bikes for kids with the help of donations from customers, Salado, and coordination efforts of Aware.
"Bikes for Kids" achieved this with Sponsorships from LoneStar eBikes, Fox 44 TV, Becky Judkins at Keller Williams Real Estate, Dynasty Chinese Buffet, The Stagecoach Inn.
Our sponsors are assisted in Raffling off a Yuba - Boda Boda Electric Cargo Bike, worth $4000. Many other prizes were given away in the raffle and silent auction. The dinner also included Comicon Characters, Door prizes, great Food and a fun atmosphere.
We welcome donations on bikes in serviceable condition or donations. Contact LoneStar eBikes for details 254-947-3969 or firstname.lastname@example.org
